Polish Ministry of Defence signs a letter of intent for cooperation with Palantir Technologies

On Monday, October 27, 2025, in Warsaw, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz signed a letter of intent between the Ministry of National Defence and the American technology company Palantir Technologies Inc.

“Today’s letter of intent with Palantir – an absolute leader in data management and its application in battlefield logistics and future planning through artificial intelligence – is a milestone. The company’s solutions are used with great success, among others, by the Ukrainian army,” said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

“This is an extraordinary and very important moment for the security of the Polish state – one of the most significant in the history of building its defense system. To be best prepared and to create a security strategy based on the principle that Poland must never be attacked – because it simply would not be worth it for anyone – we must be a leader among NATO countries. Not only through the size of our army, but also through our operational capabilities. To be a NATO leader, it is not enough to buy tanks, aircraft, helicopters, and traditional military equipment. We must also build road, rail, port, and air infrastructure, and ensure the best possible service conditions in our country. However, today the greatest challenge for all the world’s armed forces is the development of information resources. Databases have become the most valuable currency – more valuable than gold, dollars, euros, or any other means of payment. They are the greatest treasure of the modern world; therefore, they must be properly managed and well protected,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Palantir Technologies is an American technology company specializing in large-scale data analysis. It offers advanced software that enables the integration, processing, analysis, and visualization of vast data sets – particularly for the public, defense, intelligence, and major industrial sectors.

“Our strategy, adopted by the Ministry of National Defence, includes the development of artificial intelligence and the establishment of the Artificial Intelligence Implementation Center within the Cyber Defence Component Command. The Artificial Intelligence Implementation Center has just been established in Poland and requires solutions such as those offered by Palantir. But it’s not the only one –this cooperation also involves the Cyber Army, the General Command, and the Operational Command. I would like to thank General Sokołowski for the tests, exercises, and training conducted with the participation of Palantir’s engineers. This process began back in December 2023 and over the past two years has included dozens of meetings, discussions, exercises, and system presentations across all branches of the armed forces. Special thanks also go to the Support Inspectorate, responsible for the logistical support of soldiers both at home and abroad. Thanks to these efforts, today we have an overview of various military branches, capabilities, and a unified data management system that integrates all these elements into one coherent structure. The entire set of information is transmitted and analyzed at lightning speed. (…) I would like to thank the team of engineers and the Polish branch of Palantir for their efforts and presentations. Without the development of artificial intelligence capabilities, without implementing AI in the military and integrating all branches of the armed forces into a single system, it will not be possible to conduct modern operations,” emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.

The cooperation between the Ministry of Defence, represented by the Cyber Defence Component Command, and Palantir Technologies Inc. began on December 23, 2024, with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Cybersecurity of Information Technology Cooperation. The collaboration covers the areas of artificial intelligence (AI), information technology (IT), and cybersecurity.
