On Friday, May 15, 2026, a ceremony was held for Maj. Gen. Jarosław Górowski, previously commander of the Multinational Division North East, to assume the duties of Commander of the Polish Armed Forces Transformation and Training Command. Brig. Gen. Andrzej Lis, PhD, previously director of the Armed Forces Doctrine and Training Center, assumed the position of Deputy Commander.

The establishment of the command is a response to the dynamically changing security environment and to lessons learned from contemporary conflicts, including the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.
The establishment of the Polish Armed Forces Transformation and Training Command is an important stage in building a modern change-management system in the Polish Armed Forces. The new institution will be responsible for coordinating transformation processes, developing innovative training solutions, and implementing lessons learned from contemporary armed conflicts and the transformation being carried out within NATO. Its task will also be to support the development of operational capabilities and prepare the armed forces to operate in a multidomain environment.
The creation of the new command responds to the need to provide the Polish Armed Forces with the ability to adapt continuously, maintain a high level of combat readiness, and respond effectively to military and hybrid threats. The foundation of its activity will be the development of a culture of continuous improvement, modern leadership, and the enhancement of training quality for soldiers at all levels.
The establishment of the Polish Armed Forces Transformation and Training Command opens a new stage in the development of the Polish Armed Forces. It is not only an organizational change, but above all an expression of the consistent implementation of efforts to build armed forces capable of effective deterrence, defense, and victory. The new structure is intended to become a center for integrating experience, initiating innovation, and setting the directions for the further development of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland.
