On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces (SG WP) confirmed on social media that a total of seven Lockheed Martin F-35A Husarz multirole aircraft have already been flight-tested in the United States, out of 32 F-35A Block 4 aircraft ordered by the Ministry of National Defence on January 31, 2020, for 4.6 billion USD (17.9 billion PLN).
“BLUE SKIES 3506 & 3507!
Two more Polish F-35s have taken to the skies! A total of seven Polish Husarz aircraft have now rolled out from the Lockheed Martin production line in Fort Worth, Texas. Four of them are already supporting pilot training at Ebbing Air Base, and three more will join them soon.
It has been only nine months since the first flight of a Polish F-35 pilot, yet two have already completed instructor training, two more are currently training to the same level, and another two have begun their F-35 conversion course.
In the United States, several dozen technicians, engineers, and support personnel are also undergoing training — some of whom have just started hands-on sessions at Ebbing.
We are all looking forward to May next year, when the first fifth-generation aircraft are expected to arrive in Poland.”

On October 20 and 21, aviation spotters documented the test flights from NAS Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, adjacent to the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics FACO facility in Fort Worth, Texas, of the fifth and sixth aircraft (with factory numbers AZ-05 and AZ-06 and tactical numbers 3505 and 3506, respectively). The latest information from the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces indicates that a seventh aircraft (AZ-07/3507) has now joined them.
These aircraft joined four previously flight-tested examples. The first to fly was AZ-02/3502, on December 2, 2024, followed by AZ-01/3501 on December 3, which was the first aircraft presented to Poland during the roll-out ceremony on August 27, 2024. On December 17, 2024, the third aircraft, AZ-03/3503, was reported to have made its maiden flight, while the fourth, AZ-04/3504, was confirmed to have flown on February 4 of this year.
Meanwhile, on September 25 of this year, during a meeting of the Standing Subcommittee on the Polish Defense Industry and the Technical Modernization of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, held within the Sejm National Defense Committee, it was announced that, in addition to the four previously completed F-35A aircraft, another three will be delivered this year (still in the United States), meaning that the seventh aircraft will have its maiden flight by the end of the year (editor’s note). In 2026, the manufacturer will deliver another three aircraft, bringing the total to ten. In 2027, sixteen more are scheduled for delivery, raising the total to twenty-six. In 2028, four more aircraft will be handed over (bringing the total to thirty), and in 2029, the final two will be delivered.
As for the redeployment to Poland, the first two aircraft will arrive at the 32nd Tactical Air Base in May 2026, followed by another two in July 2026 – where the first squadron will be formed. The second squadron, in turn, will be assembled at the 21st Tactical Air Base in Świdwin.
Half of Poland’s aircraft are being produced at the aforementioned FACO facility in Fort Worth, Texas, and the other half at the FACO facility in Cameri, Italy. According to the schedule, a total of eight aircraft will be stationed at the Ebbing Air National Guard Base to support the training program through 2027.
