On Thursday, April 23, 2026, Radmor, a WB Group company, delivered 3501/08 radios to the 7th Pomeranian Territorial Defence Brigade (7. PBOT). The equipment is to be used for soldier training. The radios delivered are adapted to transmit Blue Force Tracking (BFT) information and can be integrated with Team Awareness Kit (TAK) systems.

Col. Piotr Jary, commander of the 7th Pomeranian Territorial Defence Brigade, received a batch of fifty 3501/8 handheld radios from Bartłomiej Zając, president of the management board of Radmor. Introducing the devices into service will make it possible to use the potential of light infantry sections more effectively, particularly in terms of communications, cooperation, and field tasks.
The radios enable secure, encrypted communication and also support terrain orientation through built-in navigation solutions. As a result, soldiers can train in conditions as close as possible to real operations.
The 3501 handheld radio was developed in Poland by Radmor. It is a fully domestic solution in the field of tactical communications, in which both the hardware layer and the software remain the intellectual property of WB Group. This ensures full control over the system’s development, security, and modernization paths.
The acquisition of the radios by the 7th Pomeranian Territorial Defence Brigade is an important step toward raising the level of training through work with diverse, modern equipment. The use of new communications devices increases the flexibility and readiness of subunits to carry out tasks.

The 3501/08 radio belongs to the class of software-defined radio (SDR) devices, which means that various operating modes can be implemented using a common hardware platform. The device supports frequency-hopping mode at a rate of 25 hops/s and AES-256 transmission encryption, regarded as one of the most secure symmetric algorithms.
The systematic equipping of Territorial Defence Forces soldiers with modern communications assets directly contributes to the development of operational capabilities and operational effectiveness in all conditions. Communications service personnel from the 18th Military Economic Branch in Wejherowo assisted in the efficient processing of the equipment acceptance and handover.

The 3501/08 radio enables the transmission of data and position information as part of Blue Force Tracking (BFT) functionality, meaning the real-time monitoring of the positions of friendly units and their visualization in command systems.
The 3501 radio is the Polish Armed Forces’ basic squad-level communications asset. More than 20,000 units have been delivered to the Polish Armed Forces and foreign users. The device remains in continuous operation. The radio can be used as a portable solution as well as an element of a vehicle-mounted set.
The 3501/08 radio supports integration with TAK-class solutions (Team Awareness Kit), increasing users’ situational awareness and enabling cooperation with other command systems. The device’s architecture allows its functionality to be further developed without the need for hardware changes.
