On Tuesday, 30 September 2025, the Polish National Security Bureau (BBN) announced that the President of the Republic of Poland and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Karol Nawrocki, had signed a decision dated 30 September 2025 to deploy the Polish Military Contingent (PKW) in support of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Denmark.

From 30 September to 3 October 2025, a Polish Military Contingent of up to 30 soldiers will be deployed to support the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Denmark.
The scope of the contingent’s tasks will include supporting the Danish Armed Forces in securing and protecting military and civilian facilities, as well as demonstrating the active presence of the Republic of Poland in maintaining and strengthening international security.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stated:
“In connection with the organisation of the European Council Summit in Copenhagen, 30 Polish Armed Forces soldiers will soon support our allies in ensuring security and protecting Danish infrastructure. The soldiers of the Polish Military Contingent Wiking are already ready for departure.”
