From April 9th to 14th, 2024, in the capital of Chile, Santiago, The International Air And Space Fair FIDAE 2024 is taking place – the largest event of its kind in South America. Among the exhibitors are Mesko and Zakłady Mechaniczne Tarnów (ZMT or ZM Tarnów, “Tarnów” Mechanical Works), which are part of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ), presenting their products.

The FIDAE trade fair in Chile is one of the largest exhibitions in the defense industry, attracting key arms manufacturers and major buyers in Latin America. In the previous edition of FIDAE, held in 2022, nearly 420 exhibitors from 47 countries participated. Additionally, the fair was visited by 260 official delegations, including representatives of the armed forces of Chile and other countries in the region, as well as key figures from the global defense industry.
The FIDAE trade fair is a prestigious event, providing an excellent opportunity to build the image and promote the potential of the PGZ Capital Group in the Latin American region. Participation in the fair enables the establishment of business contacts, facilitating the realization of international cooperation goals, particularly in terms of production and export to foreign markets in the region. The fair is an opportunity to take actions aimed at identifying potential new partners in securing the supply chain for companies within the PGZ Capital Group.
During this year’s edition of the fair, a national stand was organized. This was coordinated by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), belonging to the Ministry of Development and Technology. This strengthened the image and promotion of companies from the Polish defense sector. Representatives from Mesko and ZMT are participating in the fair. Both companies view the Chilean market as promising. They consider projects related to anti-air defense, ammunition development, and the promotion of ZM Tarnów’s portfolio – primarily MWS-25 rifles and ZSSW remote turrets in calibers 12.7mm and 7.62mm – as particularly important and worthy of promotion.
