On Monday, September 29, 2025, in Warsaw, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz took part in this year’s edition of the Warsaw Security Forum conference.

“The Warsaw Security Forum has become one of the leading security conferences in Europe, focused on strengthening transatlantic ties and shaping our response to common challenges. Both the conference itself and its unique approach constitute a permanent element of the European dialogue and reflection on defense issues. Poland’s defense policy is based on three principles: active involvement of society in the state’s security, the development of defense potential, and strong alliances,” emphasized Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the Warsaw Security Forum.
“The recent violations of the airspace of Poland, Romania, and Estonia are clear evidence that Russia is testing our borders. The Kremlin’s aggressive policy poses a real and direct threat to Europe’s security, and we know that Russia’s goals are not limited solely to Ukraine. In response, Western countries remain united, providing Ukraine with military and humanitarian support. This support continues. To strengthen Ukraine’s position, peace—once achieved—must be lasting and reflect the security interests of both Ukraine and the wider European community. We support a comprehensive approach to national defense, ensuring the resilience of society, the state, and the economy,” stressed the Minister of National Defence.
As part of the Forum, the Deputy Prime Minister also held informal meetings with the Ministers of Defense of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as with former U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
“We need unity and joint action from the entire transatlantic community – including NATO and the European Union. The NATO Summit in The Hague represents an important step in this effort, especially in the context of new objectives regarding defense capabilities. We are convinced that these objectives will strengthen defense on the eastern flank, help prevent further acts of Russian aggression, and protect every inch of Alliance territory. A strong and unanimous commitment of all allies to fully implement the decisions taken, including increasing defense spending, is essential,” said Polish Minister of National Defence during the Forum.
The Warsaw Security Forum is an annual international conference organized by the Casimir Pulaski Foundation. The event serves as a platform for exchanging experiences and views in the field of security policy among the member states of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the European Union, as well as partner countries. Guests of the conference include high-ranking state officials, ambassadors, politicians, and experts specializing in international affairs and security.
