Let us recall that on February 27, 2025, FMV signed contracts worth approximately 1.4 billion SEK with Scania Sverige AB and Volvo Defense for the delivery of large batches of trucks in various configurations, with deliveries scheduled for 2025–2026 and, in the case of options, extending to 2027. The former is to deliver 475 Scania Gryphus XT trucks in three variants, with an option for an additional 375 vehicles.
Meanwhile, Volvo Defense is to supply 300 FMX trucks with cargo bodies and cranes in a 6×6 configuration (with an option for a further 200 vehicles). These trucks will receive the military designation FLB14 6×6 LY S VO/T.
“This is a valuable addition to the Swedish Armed Forces, as it meets a broad range of transport needs,” said Thomas Larsson, Project Manager for Heavy Wheeled Vehicles at FMV.
Firefighting Vehicles
The day before, on Thursday, January 15, 2026, FMV announced an order for an additional 22 rescue vehicles for military fire brigades within the armed forces. It was emphasized that this will further strengthen the existing capabilities of the Swedish Air Force (Svenska flygvapnet).

For this order, FMV is exercising options included in an existing contract for the procurement of firefighting and rescue vehicles. The order covers vehicles along with related options, such as roof-mounted water cannons and thermal imaging cameras.
The first delivery to the Swedish Air Force is planned for 2027.
