“Today’s ceremony is an excellent opportunity to highlight the role of the soldiers and civilian employees of the 18th Łomża Logistics Regiment. Your daily, hard work in the logistics support area is one of the foundations of the effectiveness of the entire Armed Forces. Without your professionalism, commitment, and expertise, even the most modern equipment would be useless. Every specialist is an indispensable link in the chain of strengthening our country’s defense,” wrote Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in a letter addressed to the participants of the ceremony marking the opening of the maintenance hall at the 18th Łomża Logistics Regiment. The letter was read out by Deputy Minister Paweł Bejda.
Following the ceremonial speeches, the new facility was blessed and officially opened, and its capabilities were presented. The investment constitutes a significant increase in the capacity to carry out maintenance and repair of military equipment for units of the 18th Mechanized Division and the Polish Armed Forces. The new maintenance hall enables advanced technical work to be conducted under modern conditions, resulting in improved equipment serviceability, shorter response times, and higher combat readiness of the units.
The visit was also an opportunity to meet with soldiers and to become familiar with the tasks, equipment, and traditions of the Łomża-based unit.
