New Lapua TRX TrueRange Expanding Bullets And Ammunition

TRX TrueRange Expanding is Lapua’s latest line of bullets and ammunition, designed for hunting and long-range shooting. It is characterized by precision, ensured by the highest ballistic coefficients (BC) in its class.

The high BC’s of the TRX® ensure a flatter trajectory and superior resistance to wind drift. This enables hunters to confidently take longer shots with precision, even in challenging conditions.

The high ballistic coefficient is intended to provide the bullets with sustained velocity and stability, making them ideal for medium- and long-range hunting.

According to Lapua, the Lapua TRX Hunting Bullets are designed to deliver exceptional terminal ballistics, unmatched energy transfer, and nearly 100% weight retention thanks to their monolithic copper construction with a polymer tip. Upon impact with small, medium, or large game, the bullets are said to provide deep penetration and optimal expansion.

The ammunition features the patented Ait Lock technology, designed to protect the primer and propellant from harmful moisture and other elements that could disrupt the ignition process.

TRX Hunting Bullets will be available for distribution as early as this summer in the following variants:

• 6.5 mm bullet weighing 7.8 g / 120 gr
• .30 caliber bullet weighing 9.7 g / 150 gr
• .30 caliber bullet weighing 10.7 g / 165 gr

Complete ammunition will follow in the fall, with the following calibers:

• 6.5 × 55 SE
• 6.5 Creedmoor
• .308 Winchester
