On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the Polish Armament Agency published information on the launch of a restricted tender procedure for the supply of 68,505 rounds of 30mm x 173 ammunition with a TP (Target Practice) projectile without a tracer or equivalent, for the years 2025-2029.

The deadline for submitting applications for participation in the procedure is April 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
The specified round was introduced into use by the Polish Armed Forces under order No. 189 of the Head of the Armed Forces Support Inspectorate on December 31, 2024.
On July 23, 2024, the Armament Agency published information about its intention to conduct preliminary market consultations regarding the procurement of training and practice ammunition for 30mm Mk 44 Bushmaster II automatic cannons. The application deadline was August 30, 2024, and the consultations were conducted in a correspondence format.
Their purpose was to obtain information necessary for preparing the description of the subject of the contract for:
- 30mm x 173 blank round,
- 30mm x 173 plastic round with a target practice projectile without a tracer,
- 30mm x 173 plastic round with a target practice projectile with a tracer.
According to the annexes, the offered ammunition was required to be compatible with all versions of the ATK Mk 44 cannon. In the Polish Armed Forces, the Mk 44 Bushmaster II is used in Leonardo OTO Melara Hitfist-30P turret systems on Rosomak wheeled APC, while the Mk 44/S Bushmaster II is integrated into ZSSW-30 turret systems on the Rosomak wheeled IFV and, in the future, on the Borsuk tracked IFV, the planned Heavy IFV, and possibly the next-generation Serwal wheeled APC. The blank ammunition was required to be compatible with MK-15 metal link belts, while the plastic ammunition had to be compatible with both MK-15 metal link belts and plastic (polyamide) link belts.
