Deliveries of military equipment – the “quiet” heroes of our “loud” contracts – continue regardless of the time of year.
In just the past few days, the Polish Armed Forces have received, among other things:
- munitions of various calibers, including 100,000 rounds of 20 mm ammunition for FA-50 light combat aircraft;
- additional Wizjer drones – the 19th system has been accepted by the Polish Armed Forces;
- mobile postal modules – deliveries of 42 field post offices have been completed, contracted in 2021 from the Siltec–Teldat consortium, ensuring the exchange of classified and unclassified documentation under wartime and crisis conditions.

The procurement procedure for the delivery of live and training ammunition for the onboard cannons of FA-50GF aircraft began on 7 February 2025 and was the third attempt to complete this acquisition. It was successfully concluded on 18 June 2025, and on 14 August the winning bidder, Warsaw-based company Mildat, signed a contract on the matter with the Armament Agency.
Subsequently, on 12 September, Mildat signed a contract worth several million euros with the Turkish state-owned company MKE (Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi) to fulfil the order.
The contract covered the delivery of the following types of ammunition:
- HEI M56A3 high-explosive incendiary (live) – 50,000 rounds;
- TP M55A2 training – 50,000 rounds.
MKE offered HEI M56A3 live ammunition and TP M55A2 training ammunition. They have an overall length of 168.02 mm and a mass of approximately 258 g and 255 g respectively (with the projectile itself weighing about 101 g and 100 g). The muzzle velocity is 1030 ± 15 m/s. The ammunition is loaded with spherical propellant.
The delivery schedule was accelerated due to incidents involving violations of Polish airspace by Russian drones.
Another positive development is that the Korean-manufactured aircraft will also receive missile armament. On 30 June 2025, a contract worth approximately €8.5 million (PLN 36.05 million) was signed with the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) for the delivery of 24 AIM-9L Sidewinder live air-to-air missiles, as well as CATM-9L/I-1 training missiles. Until the AIM-9L missiles are delivered, the FA-50 aircraft will be equipped with AIM-9P missiles leased from the Armed Forces of the Republic of Korea. The leasing agreement for these missiles was signed on 24 June 2025.
Once these contracts are completed, the FA-50 aircraft will be integrated into the air policing duty system, in line with the announcement made by the Ministry of National Defence on 20 August 2025.

As for deliveries of the Wizjer mini-class unmanned aerial system, it was reported that the 19th system has been handed over, while the first was delivered to the military on 19 May 2025. The UAV system was developed by a consortium consisting of the Polish Armaments Group, Military Aviation Works No. 2, and Military Aviation Works No. 1 in Łódź under a contract with the Armament Agency – the State Treasury dated 29 December 2021 for the delivery of 25 systems, comprising a total of 100 aircraft along with a logistics and training package.
