Ruger and Marlin at IWA
Ruger and Marlin are two iconic American brands well known to any serious firearms enthusiast. The IWA 2026 trade show in Nuremberg provided an opportunity to get acquainted with part of their lineup. Only part of it, however, as we had expected a significantly larger booth. We decided to take a closer look at selected items from their offerings.
Ruger RXM, a modular revolution
The RXM is one of Ruger’s newer, and at the same time most important, projects, developed in collaboration with Magpul. The pistol, based on the third-generation Glock 19, features a modular design that allows the trigger mechanism module and its associated components to be easily swapped between grip modules of different sizes. Since its release, the platform has already been introduced in compact (standard), subcompact, hybrid (compact slide/full-size grip), and full-size configurations. Alongside the pistols, standalone modules have also become available on the market. The RXM has long been present on the domestic market, which continues to expand with successive shipments from overseas.
This model is a solid option for a first pistol thanks to the wide range of accessories compatible with the Austrian standard and the aforementioned modularity. Priced below 3,000 PLN, it offers good ergonomics and steel sights, and it is also ready for mounting a red dot optic.

Lewary Marlin – The vibes!
Marlin lever-action rifles are classics among classics. The venerable Model 336 in .30-30 Winchester has put venison on the table for many an American family. Meanwhile, the substantial Model 1895 rifles chambered in .45-70 Government have boosted the confidence of many trappers living in the Alaskan wilderness. Regardless of the model, Marlin is an iconic brand that’s impossible to ignore. I was pleased to take a closer look at several of their rifles and can say without hesitation that I simply must have at least one in my collection.
Ruger Staying True to Its Classics
Ruger is a brand known for its wide catalog of recreational and hunting firearms. That remains true today – the lineup includes both classic wood-stocked models and new rifles with durable finishes.
My particular attention was drawn to the Hawkeye African, chambered in the powerful .416 Ruger cartridge, designed for dangerous game.
Ruger 77/44 – a minimalist brush gun
Below the Hawkeye was the Model 77/44, a compact bolt-action rifle chambered in .44 Magnum. Equipped with a threaded barrel for a suppressor, it practically begs to be set up as a quiet configuration for hunting in dense brush – something commonly found in the eastern United States.
Ruger and Marlin available in Poland
RP ARMS, a retailer with three locations – in Aleksandrów Łódzki, Poznań, and Tarnów – is the official distributor of Ruger and Marlin in Poland. It regularly replenishes its inventory and continuously brings in new arrivals, so there is truly plenty to choose from. As it happens, the company will present its offering at the upcoming Euro Target Show in Poznań, taking place on March 27–29. It’s well worth a visit – see you there!
