September 21, 2025 – A major milestone in tactical communication and multinational defense collaboration was marked last week with the inaugural BNet Users’ Club, hosted by Dynamit Nobel Defense Digital, a subsidiary of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, in Kiel, Germany – home to the newly established BNet production and integration facility.

Bringing together representatives from eight nations, the event highlighted BNet’s technological edge as a fully software-defined, spectrum-aware tactical radio system – and served as a testament to Rafael’s successful transfer of technology (ToT) and localization capabilities in Europe and beyond.
Showcasing BNet: The World’s Leading Spectrum-Aware SDR
At the heart of the event was a live field demonstration covering over 200 square kilometers in northern Germany. Both vehicular and handheld variants of BNET were put through complex, real-time scenarios in a fully mobile, self-forming MESH topology. Participants witnessed seamless battlefield connectivity, broadband throughput, and real-time command and control, even under dynamic and contested conditions.
The demonstration included:
- BNet Tactical Application: Full battle management functionality from a compact personal device;
- High-Capacity Line-of-Sight (HCLOS) waveform: Delivering up to 100 Mbps bi-directional throughput;
- Patented Multi-Frequency Channel Reception (MCR): Enabling simultaneous multi-channel and true flat network, scaling to 1,000+ nodes;
- Autonomous Spectrum Management: Dynamic, real-time spectrum optimization with minimal delay and maximum resilience.
This unique combination of capabilities positions BNet as the most advanced SDR platform for modern, high-mobility operations across joint and multinational forces. This includes air operations, air traffic control, UAV’s, air defense and net-enabled air defense systems, and most importantly, land maneuvering forces in both machinized, dismounted forces and multi-dimensional operations.
Localizing Strategic Capability: From Israel to the end-users’s nation
Crucially, the event underscored the full localization of BNet’s production and support in Germany through DND Digital. Following a comprehensive technology transfer program, DND is preparing to launch full-rate production of BNet in 2026, ensuring sovereign capability, supply chain security, and long-term support for European and other partner nations. This transfer of technology is not new to the BNet technology, having completed similar programs in other nations.
This approach reflects Rafael’s broader strategy: enabling its partners to develop independent, trusted, and nationally-controlled capabilities without sacrificing access to best-in-class innovation.
