This is another stage of support for volunteer firefighters provided by the company. Thanks to the launch of the new project, the total value of assistance provided to volunteer fire departments will increase to nearly 4 million PLN. The funds will be allocated, among other things, to modern rescue and firefighting equipment, protective gear, and training to strengthen the readiness of services operating in areas of strategic energy investments.

“Security in Poland also means the work of volunteer firefighters, who are always first at the scene and always ready to act. The state should support such units. This is why GAZ-SYSTEM has launched a program to equip volunteer fire departments. This year, 1.5 million PLN will go toward equipping volunteer fire departments and improving public safety. Good cooperation with the fire service and equipping firefighters means a safe Poland and safe local communities,” emphasized Minister of Energy Miłosz Motyka.
Investment in regional security
The “GAZ-SYSTEM for Security” program is aimed at volunteer fire departments operating in areas through which GAZ-SYSTEM transmission infrastructure runs or where the company’s strategic energy investments are being implemented.
Volunteer fire departments may apply for funding of up to 40,000 PLN for:
- purchase of rescue and firefighting equipment
- individual and collective protective equipment
- training and development of rescue competencies
The program is intended to strengthen residents’ safety, increase the operational readiness of volunteer firefighters, and build the resilience of regions developing alongside the state’s critical infrastructure.
Volunteer fire departments may submit applications for funding until May 22, 2026. Detailed information and the application form are available on the GAZ-SYSTEM website.
The program has been placed under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Energy and the Commander-in-Chief of the State Fire Service.
GAZ-SYSTEM is consistently developing social programs aimed at regions where infrastructure investments are being implemented. In 2023-2025, GAZ-SYSTEM provided nearly 2.5 million PLN in support for volunteer fire departments. Thanks to the new program and its first edition, the total value of assistance will increase to almost 4 million PLN. The company has announced further activities to support volunteer firefighters.
Ożarów Mazowiecki volunteer fire department receives support
The press briefing was held at the Ożarów Mazowiecki volunteer fire department for a reason. The unit is part of the National Rescue and Firefighting System and has for years cooperated with GAZ-SYSTEM on activities related to the security of critical infrastructure.
One of the key gas investments for the Warsaw metropolitan area runs through the municipality of Ożarów Mazowiecki. In 2025, construction of the Rembelszczyzna-Mory gas pipeline was completed. The Mory-Reguły gas pipeline is also planned, which will form part of Warsaw’s gas ring.
In previous years, volunteer firefighters from Ożarów Mazowiecki received funding from the company to purchase a thermal imaging camera and a light vehicle used for rescue and firefighting operations.
GAZ-SYSTEM social programs
“GAZ-SYSTEM for Security” is part of the company’s social strategy. It implements social programs supporting security, education, and environmental protection.
This year, the company is running the following projects:
- GAZ-SYSTEM for Education ‒ the seventh edition of the educational program is underway, with the company allocating nearly half a million zlotys to it this year. Thanks to GAZ-SYSTEM funding for 25 municipalities, primary schools will receive equipment for physics and chemistry laboratories, sports equipment, and first-aid training equipment.
- School with Energy ‒ this year, five vocational secondary schools received a total of 125,000 PLN for the development of modern vocational laboratories and academic scholarships for students. The program received the PowerConnect Award 2026 in the “Education and Workforce Development” category.
- Natural Energy Fund ‒ the launch of the 16th edition of the grant program supporting local pro-environmental initiatives is planned for May. GAZ-SYSTEM will allocate 300,000 PLN to the project. The program helps increase residents’ knowledge and awareness of sustainable development and encourages practical action for nature. Thanks to the funding, green classrooms and gardens will be created, trees will be planted, and educational campaigns will be organized.
