During the 29th edition of Eurosatory 2026, the international defense industry trade fair organized by Coges Events and held on June 15–19 this year at Paris-Nord Villepinte near Paris, Zakłady Mechaniczne Tarnów (ZMT), part of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ), announced progress in the SR-50M large-caliber anti-materiel and sniper rifle program while presenting its firearms portfolio.

As the MILMAG Portal Editorial Team has learned, the SR-50M, which was displayed at the BSDA 2026 defense industry trade fair (Black Sea Defense, Aerospace and Security), held on May 13–15 this year in Bucharest, is now ready to enter serial production.
The SR-50M is a large-caliber anti-materiel and sniper rifle chambered for 12.7-mm (.50-caliber) ammunition. The weapon was developed with special forces and airborne troops in mind. Taking their requirements into account, the designer created a modular rifle with interchangeable barrels measuring 22 inches (559 mm) and 29 inches (736 mm) in length.
One of the advantages of the ZMT SR-50M is its modularity. The weapon can be easily disassembled into two parts, which greatly facilitates carrying it and parachuting with the Tarnów rifle in suitable containers. In addition, the rifle is equipped with a Remington 700-standard trigger and McMillan-type magazines. Importantly, the ZMT SR-50M may in the future become a multi-caliber design adapted for .416 Barrett, .408 CheyTac or Eastern 12.7×108-mm ammunition.
The designers also ensured the appropriate placement of accessory rails and M-LOK-standard mounting slots, enabling the installation of various sights and other accessories, such as bipods or carrying slings. The barrel, ending in an M24 thread, allows the installation of standard muzzle devices intended for large-caliber rifles. The weapon can be seen during the 31st International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce.
