On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, the second day of the 29th edition of Eurosatory 2026, the international defense industry trade show organized by Coges Events, taking place June 15-19 of this year in Paris-Nord Villepinte near Paris, Australian company DroneShield established a strategic partnership with Dutch company Defenture to develop mobile counter-drone capabilities.

DroneShield is an Australian leader in counter-drone technology solutions, while Defenture is an innovative company specializing in tactical special-purpose vehicles. Together, they will accelerate the commercialization of joint capabilities in the area of mobile counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS).
The agreement will combine DroneShield’s counter-UAS hardware, software, command and control systems, and operational support with Defenture’s expertise in high-mobility special-purpose vehicle platforms. The companies are jointly working to develop a coordinated market deployment plan for an air defense and counter-UAS command and control solution tailored to modern operational environments.
Under the agreement, the parties intend to jointly define, prioritize, and execute commercial activities, including coordinated product go-to-market initiatives, customer engagement, testing, achieving interoperability milestones, and delivering selected joint capabilities. This includes offering current and future generations of DroneShield counter-UAS systems on Defenture platforms such as the Mammoth and GRF 5.12, as well as developing multi-layered counter-UAS-on-the-move concepts for future customer needs (Patrol vehicles Defenture GRF 5.12 in the Polish GROM Military Unit).
The partnership reflects the growing demand for highly mobile, mission-ready counter-drone systems capable of supporting military and security forces in increasingly complex threat environments.

As military and security forces across Europe continue to prioritize counter-UAS capabilities, this agreement opens the way for DroneShield and Defenture to jointly pursue opportunities that combine mobility, interoperability, and operational effectiveness in response to evolving drone threats.
DroneShield has also announced the establishment of its European headquarters in Amsterdam.
