Leupold MX-6HD – an answer to military demands
What sets the Leupold MX-6HD spotting scope apart?
First, an “armored” magnesium alloy housing. The MX-6HD is a typically military-oriented design, where durability is the top priority. Second, the ability to mount accessories. Rangefinders, ballistic computers, indicators, and small red-dot sights for rapid target acquisition – all of these devices are used by snipers. Thanks to numerous mounting points, the MX-6HD forms a unified, integrated system that includes everything needed for the observer to operate as efficiently as possible. Configuration flexibility is provided by a top Picatinny rail and numerous M-LOK mounting points arranged in two rows along the sides.
Third, multiple tripod mounting options. The base solution is an ARCA-SWISS rail integrated into the bottom of the housing. However, an adapter can also be attached to the scope. In addition to the ARCA rail, the adapter features a long mounting arm for various accessories. Most importantly, two types of adapters are available. The first is a monolithic element, while the second – presented at the exhibition – offers a more interesting solution.
This adapter features a folding rail that, when folded, retracts into the adapter’s profile and protrudes only slightly toward the user. This makes it possible to reduce the overall length of the setup, for example during transport. At the same time, the solution provides the user with greater flexibility, as the rail can be deployed almost instantly when needed.
Fourth, the optics. The scope is intended for the most demanding users, thanks to the Professional-Grade Optical System, which is designed to deliver the highest image quality in Leupold’s product lineup.
