During Enforce Tac 2026 in Nuremberg, held from February 23 to 25, the Italian company Fiocchi Munizioni, which has belonged to the Czech holding Czechoslovak Group (CSG) since 2025, presented tungsten small-caliber anti-drone ammunition for Class C-sUAS (Counter-small UAS) targets. The cartridges can be used in standard self-loading rifles without any additional modifications.

These are cartridges with a copper-jacketed projectile containing 23 tungsten balls, each 2 mm in diameter, with a projectile weight of 77 grains (approx. 4.99 g), fitted with a polymer ballistic tip. The casing breaks apart in flight and releases the payload, increasing the probability of hitting micro- and mini-class drones as well as FPV drones, at the cost of lower muzzle velocity.
Fiocchi Munizioni officially presented this ammunition as a short- to medium-range counter-drone solution for land forces in urban scenarios, suggesting the firing of short bursts of 4 to 6 rounds in full-auto mode to increase effectiveness. Its effective range is 50 to 70 m, while the maximum range is 80 to 100 m. It has also demonstrated the ability to effectively penetrate 1 mm-thick aluminum sheet at distances of up to 50 to 60 m.
The company presented the ammunition in two calibers:
- Russian 5.45 × 39 mm, with the DD W-BITE MB cartridge and a muzzle velocity of 580 m/s;
- NATO 5.56 × 45 mm, with the SJ 77 MB DD W-BITE cartridge and a muzzle velocity of 650 m/s.

The ammunition can be loaded into standard magazines and used in self-loading or automatic firearms. Work is currently underway to integrate it with the Smartshooter (SMASH) computerized drone-targeting support system.
