The BSDA 2026 (Black Sea Defense, Aerospace and Security) defense industry exhibition is being held in Bucharest on May 13–15 this year. Romanian company Pro Optica presented three unmanned turret systems. The company has been developing the Anubis family for several years, including in cooperation with Curtiss-Wright on improved stabilization.

The first of these, the Anubis 30, is armed with a 30-mm Northrop Grumman ATK Mk44 Bushmaster II automatic cannon, a coaxial 7.62-mm machine gun, and can be integrated with a launcher for Rafael Spike LR2 anti-tank guided missiles with a range of up to 5.5 km.

The Anubis 30 is equipped with an observation system comprising a daytime camera, a thermal imaging camera and a laser rangefinder. It is gyrostabilized in two axes, with the option of emergency manual stabilization. It features an automatic fire control system, an automatic target-tracking function and an independent commander’s sight, and can be fed from both sides. It is capable of detecting a vehicle-sized object at a distance of 8.1 km and a human at 4.2 km.
Anubis Dual
The second turret is the Anubis Dual, which can be armed with a 12.7-mm machine gun and a 40-mm Mk 19 automatic grenade launcher. Similarly, its observation system consists of a daytime camera, a thermal imaging camera and a laser rangefinder, with gyrostabilization and a manual mode. It is equipped with automatic fire control system software, an automatic target-tracking function, including AHP (Advanced Human/Person Tracking) and MTI (Moving Target Indicator) for moving targets, as well as sector scanning and image enhancement functions. It is also capable of detecting a vehicle-sized object at a distance of 8.1 km and a human at 4.2 km.

The third turret is the Anubis 12.7, which can be armed with a 12.7-mm or 7.62-mm machine gun, or an Mk 19 grenade launcher. It is equipped with an observation system comprising a daytime camera, an uncooled thermal imaging camera and a laser rangefinder, with gyrostabilization and a manual mode. It features similar additional functions to the Anubis Dual.
