Industrial partners centered around AMC Global Group are launching a project to build a modern production complex for propellant charges used in 155 mm artillery ammunition. The investment, estimated at approximately EUR 20 million, is to be implemented in the Świętokrzyskie region and is expected to reach a target production capacity of up to 500,000 charges annually.
The new project expands the large-caliber ammunition production ecosystem being developed by AMC Global Group and its industrial partners. The complex is to be built on a site covering more than 10 hectares in the Świętokrzyskie region. The investment will include four independent production lines for White Bag and Red Bag bagged propellant charges, Modular Charge System (MCS) charges, and Combustible Cartridge Cases (CCCs).
Strategic link in 155 mm ammunition production
The propellant charge is one of the basic components of complete artillery ammunition. It generates the energy required to launch the projectile and achieve the desired ballistic performance. The availability of suitable charges, alongside projectile bodies, explosives, fuzes, and packaging components, is essential to maintaining continuity in finished ammunition production.

The objective of the planned investment is to reduce dependence on foreign suppliers of one of the most important components of artillery ammunition and to increase the resilience of the Polish and European defense sectors to disruptions in international supply chains.
“We are expanding the AMC Polish Arsenal project with another strategic link in the 155 mm ammunition production chain. Our goal is not to build a single facility, but to create an integrated industrial ecosystem with its own production, technological, logistical, and quality-control capabilities. Europe needs new production capacity, but above all it needs the ability to independently secure the most important ammunition components,” said Marek Kuźmicz, partner at Grupa Kapitałowa Valeza sp. z o.o. and partner at AMC Polish Arsenal sp. z o.o.
Integration with the Słupia Konecka facility
The project will be implemented in parallel with the planned investment in large-caliber ammunition production in Słupia Konecka. The two facilities are intended to form a complementary industrial system covering the manufacture of key components, ammunition assembly, logistics, quality control, and production process management.
Integration will include joint production and supply planning, management of raw-material availability, synchronization of individual stages of order fulfillment, and unified quality standards. This is expected to reduce the risk of production stoppages, shorten delivery times, and improve utilization of the capacity of both facilities.
AI-based industrial management system
An industrial management system based on artificial intelligence solutions is planned to support operational processes. The system will assist with the analysis of production data, planning the use of production lines, monitoring component availability, identifying potential bottlenecks, and controlling quality parameters.
“Combining ammunition production with our own propellant charge manufacturing capabilities significantly increases the security of the entire project. At the same time, we are developing expertise in production management, logistics, and quality control. Technologies and strategic supply chains
As part of preparations for the project, AMC Global Group’s industrial partners have secured technologies for the production of White Bag and Red Bag propellant charges. A technology partner has also been secured for the production of Modular Charge System (MCS) propellant charges.
At the same time, efforts have been made to secure strategic supply chains for key materials and semi-finished products, including multi-base propellants, nitrocellulose, and other components required to launch and sustain serial production. Diversifying sources of supply is intended to reduce the risk of the project becoming dependent on a single supplier or one import route.
Poland as part of European industrial security
The launch of new propellant charge production capacity forms part of the broader rebuilding of Europe’s defense industry. Growing demand for artillery ammunition has highlighted the limitations of existing production capacity and the dependence of European manufacturers on suppliers of selected raw materials and components.
The project in the Świętokrzyskie region is intended to increase the role of Polish industry in the European defense-sector supply chain. Its importance extends beyond the production of propellant charges itself: the investment is planned as part of a broader industrial platform covering ammunition production, the development of dual-use technologies, and the implementation of digital production management systems.

The launch of the propellant charge production project marks another stage in the development of cooperation between Prime ASI and AMC Global Group’s industrial partners. A detailed investment schedule, financing model, and subsequent implementation stages will be announced as preparatory work progresses and binding investment decisions are made.
