“A new program for uniformed classes is being launched. In 16 schools with such classes, drone operation training will be introduced. This is our future. We are investing in drone forces, which I established upon becoming Minister of National Defence. We are strongly committed to the development of cyberspace and space capabilities. All these new areas of activity must begin at the very start – in secondary education. We need drone operators, we need unmanned aircraft pilots,” said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Kielce.
Thanking the youth for their commitment to education, the Minister of Defence said:
“I want to extend to you my best wishes at the start of this school year – may it be safe, successful, and fulfilling. May you realize your ambitions, plans, and dreams. We are very proud of you. Poland is very proud of you. Thank you for wearing uniforms with the white-and-red emblem on your shoulder from such a young age. (…) We strive to make Poland – our home – the best place in the world to live. We strive for security for our families. We strive to live in peace. For this, we need strength and courage. This cannot be achieved without the younger generation, without young people eager for activity, dreams, careers, aspirations, and the future.”
During the ceremony, 14 cadets received awards from the Minister of National Defence for the best academic results.
“I thank and congratulate those who have once again achieved success. I congratulate the principal of the school from Staszów, who once again received an award together with his students for taking first places. He promised that next year we will meet again in the same role, and the school from Staszów will once again celebrate its triumphs,” said the Minister of National Defence.
