(a subsidiary of Sweden’s Saab Defence and Security) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) expressing their shared intent to establish a strategic partnership. The agreement was signed on the grounds of the Polish Army Museum in Warsaw (Warsaw Citadel). The Polish-Swedish Defence Industry Forum was organised by the Armament Policy Department of the Ministry of National Defence. Among the participants were Sweden’s Minister of Defence Pål Jonson and Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. The event brought together representatives of government administration, the armed forces, and leading defence-sector companies from Poland and Sweden. The Forum served as a platform for exchanging experience, conducting strategic dialogue, and showcasing the industrial capabilities of both countries. Discussions focused on directions for developing technological cooperation, joint R&D projects, and strengthening interoperability within the European security framework. The signing of the agreement between the companies was one of the key items on the Forum’s agenda (Polish-Swedish Defense Industry Forum – A Joint Voice for Security).

Saab Switzerland is a recognised manufacturer and supplier of advanced munitions, possessing its own technology, production processes and intellectual property rights. Saab Switzerland seeks to expand its presence in the Polish market through strategic licensing partnerships, while maintaining strict control over its intellectual property rights and ensuring compliance with established quality standards and technical specifications.
ZM Dezamet is a reputable company within the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ), with well-established production capabilities, distribution networks and knowledge of the local market. Dezamet has expressed interest in obtaining licensing rights to produce and sell selected Saab Switzerland products within its territory.
Both parties acknowledge that a licensing agreement could bring mutual benefits, including market expansion opportunities for Saab Switzerland and access to innovative and in-demand products for Dezamet.

The signing of the MoU marks the first step toward developing a partnership aimed at, among other things, the exchange of knowledge and expertise, the development of joint projects, and the identification of synergies within both companies’ areas of activity. The parties declared their intention to continue discussions that may eventually lead to the conclusion of binding operational agreements in the future.
“We are convinced that combining our capabilities with the experience of Saab Switzerland will allow us to pursue innovative initiatives and increase the value we offer to our customers,” said Dariusz Szlęzak, President of Zakłady Metalowe Dezamet.
“We are pleased that this agreement supports the possibility of establishing close industrial cooperation between Saab and Dezamet in Poland. Today we open a new chapter in our partnership with the Polish defence industry, bringing fresh momentum to our joint efforts,” said Claudio Penna, General Manager of Saab Bofors Dynamics (part of Saab Defence and Security).
