Strategic Agreement between Hanwha Aerospace Europe and the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation

Hanwha Aerospace Europe and the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation have signed an agreement that paves the way for intensified collaboration in research and development, particularly in the fields of unmanned aerial systems, defense solutions, and other advanced technologies.

On Thursday, July 11, 2024, Hanwha Aerospace Europe and the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation signed an agreement that paves the way for intensified collaboration in research and development, particularly in the fields of unmanned aerial systems, defense solutions, and other advanced technologies.

The agreement was signed by Billy Boo Hwan Lee, President of Hanwha Aerospace Europe, and Dr. Eng. Paweł Stężycki, Director of the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation. The ceremonial signing took place at the headquarters of the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation in Warsaw.

An important part of the meeting was also a study visit to the Rocket and Satellite Propulsion Laboratory, the Composite Technology Center, and the Aerodynamic Research Laboratory.

The agreement forms the foundation for the implementation of joint projects, which are expected to result not only in the development of technologies in the mentioned areas but also in strengthening Polish-South Korean cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and experience between both institutions.
