On Thursday, 6 November 2025, the WB Group announced that it had signed contracts for the delivery of a new version of the Warmate family of loitering munitions. The strike systems, developed and manufactured in Poland, will be supplied to users in Asia. The new Warmate 3 stands out with its increased range, an improved warhead, the ability to operate in a jammed environment without a GNSS signal, and interoperability with other WB unmanned platforms.
Under the signed contracts, the WB Group will supply around one thousand Warmate 3 systems to non-European armed forces. The latest variants of the Polish loitering munitions have been ordered, featuring improved performance and larger warheads. The strike systems, proven in the most demanding conditions, will be delivered, among others, to a new user in Asia.
The Warmate family systems have undergone a successful combat debut in numerous military operations, including during a high-intensity conflict, confirming their top-level quality and capabilities. Based on user experience, the continuous development of the Polish design is underway to ensure it meets the requirements of not only the current but also the future battlefield.
The new versions of the Warmate 3 loitering munitions are distinguished by their increased range, improved warheads with fuzes meeting NATO standards, and the ability to relay and retransmit signals with other unmanned systems developed by the WB Group. The Polish designs can operate in a jammed environment without access to satellite navigation signals.
Warmate 3 is a lightweight, portable unmanned strike system with electric propulsion and a pusher propeller. The Polish modular design is equipped with an interchangeable warhead in accordance with emerging NATO standards. The warhead can be selected before the mission to suit the planned tasks. Warmate is characterized by low logistical burden, as the system can be carried in backpacks.
The loitering munition can be equipped with one of three primary warheads: thermobaric, high-explosive fragmentation, or anti-armor. Depending on the selected mission scenario, the strike section is fitted with either a daytime or nighttime camera. For safety reasons, keeping the operator away from the warhead, the Warmate is launched from a lightweight, portable pneumatic launcher.
Warmate is an alternative to anti-tank guided missiles thanks to its ability to operate in the air for an extended period at a much greater distance. This allows the user to detect, observe, and identify a potential target with significantly more time and comfort. Thanks to signal relaying and retransmission, the strike system can cooperate with other unmanned systems of the WB Group.
