On Friday, January 3, 2025, the Armament Agency announced the results of the tender process for the delivery of 130 Mobile Unmanned Reconnaissance Vehicles (MBPR), including 107 under the base contract and 23 as an option, which has been ongoing since January 29, 2024.

Preliminary offers, with a submission deadline of March 4, 2024, were submitted by the following companies: Allies Incorporated, Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP, IBKOL, Chema Defence Systems with Chema, GMV Innovating Solutions with Milrem Robotics, as well as ETRONIKA, and SALUS Tactics and Technology for Security Zbigniew Mazurkiewicz with the Production and Trading Company WObit E.J. Ober S.C.
Final offers, not subject to rejection, with a submission deadline of December 18, 2024 (11:00 AM), were submitted exclusively by the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP. The offer received 90 points, including 60 for price and 30 for quality criteria (out of a possible 60 for price and 40 for quality criteria). Deliveries must be completed within 34 months.
According to the contracting authority’s requirements, the functionalities of the MBPR must enable reconnaissance in direct contact with military units, penetration of areas inaccessible to humans, transmission of reconnaissance sensor data via wireless audio and video communication to the operator’s console, and movement across various terrains, including dirt roads, paved roads, off-road areas, and open or urbanized terrain (overcoming obstacles such as rubble, thresholds, stairs, and curbs). The MBPR must also be capable of opening doors. The design should allow for transport in the troop compartments of military vehicles and portability by a single soldier.
Market consultations on this matter were conducted in the summer of 2023.
It is worth recalling that on December 27, 2021, the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP completed the delivery of 35 Portable Patrol Robots (Robot Patrolowo-Przenośny, RPP) – model Engineering Robot 1806.
