The German group Rheinmetall AG unveiled the Panzerjäger, a wheeled modular vehicle armed with Spike LR2 anti-tank guided missiles or loitering munitions, at the International Defence and Security Technologies Fair (IDET) 2025, held May 28–30 in Brno, Czech Republic. According to information obtained by the MILMAG Editorial Team, the manufacturer recommends deploying these vehicles at the battalion level, primarily in support of reconnaissance and command operations.

The Panzerjäger made its debut at the Eurosatory 2024 trade fair in Paris, and in Germany at RüNET 2024 in Koblenz. Interestingly, the system itself is independent of the chassis and can be integrated with 4×4, 6×6, 8×8, or tracked vehicles. Rheinmetall AG is presenting it on the Enok 14.8 platform with an ACS (Armoured Car Systems) body, based on a 4×4 Daimler Truck AG chassis. This chassis has a gross vehicle weight of 11 tonnes, with a payload capacity of 4 tonnes. The crew consists of four soldiers.
The Panzerjäger package includes the EOS500 electro-optical sensor system mounted on a telescopic mast, providing direct visual feed with a target detection range of over 11 km. The system also features three fully integrated Rheinmetall Recce S unmanned aerial vehicles (also known as Hero R), each with a range of 8 km and a flight time of 20 minutes, along with an onboard charging station for the drones.
The system uses artificial intelligence for automatic target recognition and tracking, reducing response time in the sensor-to-shooter chain. It is equipped with software-defined radios running the Tactical Core operating system developed by blackned GmbH.
The primary armament consists of two modules, each containing a twin launcher for Rafael Spike LR2 anti-tank guided missiles with a range of up to 5,500 meters. Each module can be replaced with a UVision Air Hero 30 loitering munition launcher. The secondary armament includes a Rheinmetall Natter remote weapon station (RWS) with a 7.62 mm machine gun for engaging small unmanned aerial vehicles and ground targets. The Panzerjäger is also equipped with the APV (Acoustic Platform for Vehicles) system for acoustic gunshot detection, as well as ROSY smoke grenade launchers.
