On Thursday, 20 November 2025, Grupa Niewiadów-PGM announced that it had signed a licensing agreement with ST Engineering Advanced Material Engineering Pte. Ltd. (AME) of Singapore concerning the transfer of competencies for the production of 40 mm ammunition.
Under this agreement, the Group’s subsidiary (ZSP Niewiadów) has obtained exclusive rights to use the technical data package and know-how necessary to launch domestic production of this class of ammunition, intended both for the Polish Armed Forces and for customers in 20 European Union countries.
This partnership represents another important step toward building a modern production center for medium-caliber ammunition in Niewiadów.
On 21 October 2025, Grupa Niewiadów-PGM, ZSP Niewiadów, Proguns Group, and Forum 119 FIZ (owned by the Fidera fund) signed a term sheet for a joint investment worth 67.4 million PLN (60 million PLN from Forum 119 FIZ and 7.4 million PLN from Grupa Niewiadów-PGM), aimed at launching the aforementioned factory in Niewiadów. The project will be implemented using technology provided by ST Engineering Advanced Material Engineering Pte. Ltd., with whom a Memorandum of Understanding was signed during the 33rd International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Targi Kielce.
A market worth over 2 billion dollars
It is estimated that NATO’s European member states operate around 42,000 40 mm grenade launchers, with combined ammunition stockpiles reaching approximately 42 million rounds. The value of the European 40 mm ammunition market is assessed at about 2.3 billion USD. Training needs alone generate annual demand worth nearly 200 million USD.
The dynamic growth in defense spending, ongoing technical modernization, and European Union initiatives aimed at reducing dependence on suppliers from outside Europe make domestic production of this type of ammunition one of the most promising segments of the defense industry today

World-class technology
ST Engineering Advanced Material Engineering Pte. Ltd. is headquartered in Singapore and specializes in supplying advanced weapon systems and ammunition. The company has over 55 years of experience in military technology, including the development and production of small arms, mortars, and medium- and large-caliber ammunition. AME’s solutions are used by armed forces in more than 46 countries worldwide, making it one of the key suppliers of defense technologies with proven operational effectiveness.
A strong boost for the Polish defense industry
“The licensing agreement with AME marks another significant stage in implementing our plan to build a strong, integrated defense industry group in Poland. The acquired know-how in 40 mm ammunition substantially strengthens the technological capabilities of Grupa Niewiadów-PGM and supports the further expansion of production capacity in Niewiadów. Our ambition is to reinforce our position in the rapidly growing 40 mm ammunition segment, based on the highest quality standards, modern technologies, and cooperation with globally experienced partners. We believe this project will contribute to enhancing national ammunition production capabilities and increasing Poland’s security,” said Grzegorz Niedzielski, CEO of Grupa Niewiadów-PGM.
The agreement with AME is another step in building an integrated defense industry group in Poland. Grupa Niewiadów-PGM is conducting projects in the fields of 155 mm ammunition, unmanned systems, and dual-use technologies, creating one of the most comprehensive and dynamically developing private defense enterprises in the country (Grupa Niewiadów-PGM and WITU to develop 155 mm ammunition manufacturing technology; Northrop Grumman and Elaboracja Niewiadów agreement on 155 mm ammunition production).

A defense company listed on the stock exchange
Since 16 July 2025, the Group has operated under its new name – Grupa Niewiadów-PGM. The merger of Polska Grupa Militarna, listed on the NewConnect market, with Grupa Niewiadów, a recognized manufacturer of specialized equipment and solutions for the military and civilian sectors, has created a new capital group with strengthened operational and technological capabilities.
The integrated organization operates broadly within the defense sector. The Group also includes companies specializing in the development of unmanned systems (drones), dual-use products, military logistics, and advanced technologies for the armed forces. The Group holds a license from the Ministry of Interior and Administration for the production and storage of ammunition as well as the trade of military-designated products, and it develops advanced solutions tailored to the requirements of the modern battlefield.
One of the Group’s key assets is ZSP Niewiadów – a company with over a century of experience in defense production and a long history of supplying the Polish Armed Forces. The Group is currently implementing a strategic project to build a modern 155 mm ammunition factory, responding to the growing defense needs of Poland and its allies. Ammunition of this caliber remains one of the most important components of combat capabilities worldwide.
By leveraging the scale of its operations, complementary competencies, and modern technological facilities, Grupa Niewiadów-PGM is building a strong defense industry group – one of the most comprehensive and fastest-growing private enterprises in Poland. Its products are delivered to both domestic and international markets.
