The General Command of the Polish Armed Forces (Dowództwo Generalne Rodzajów Sił Zbrojnych) informed that the first two ammunition supply vehicles, fitted on a Jelcz 882.53 8×8 chassis, were delivered to the 1st Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 17th Mechanized Brigade. New vehicles will supplement an artillery company equipped with 120mm Rak self-propelled mortar systems.

On 13th August 2019 the Armament Inspectorate of the Polish Ministry of Defense signed a contract for delivery of 24 ammunition supply vehicles from Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW) a subsidiary of the Polish Armaments Group (Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, PGZ). The cost of the procurement is 129 million Polish Zloty (€28 million). Deliveries were to commence in 2019 and run through to 2020, however, they were eventually delayed.
Each ammunition supply vehicle will be capable of transporting of up to 96 120mm mortar shells (with explosive, illumination or smoke charges).
A fully equipped mortar company will be composed of: eight 120 mm Rak self-propelled mortar systems and four command post vehicles (one each for the company commander, deputy company commander and two platoon commanders), two artillery reconnaissance vehicles 4×4 (AWR) as well as a logistical component, including: three ammunition supply vehicles 8×8 (AWA) with a transport capacity of up to 180 projectiles each, a mobile workshop 6×6 (AWRU) and a support vehicle 6×6 (WZ).
