The company Radmor (part of the WB Group) was represented by President Bartłomiej Zając and Vice President Gracjan Jakubowski, while the company WiRan was represented by President Maciej Król and Board Member Adrian Klarecki.
“Poland must acquire the capability to independently develop satellite solutions, as confirmed by the changing international situation. The signed agreement, based on the extensive experience of the Gdynia-based companies, aims to help Poland achieve technological sovereignty in the space industry. It will ensure communication and reconnaissance from orbit while also providing another stimulus for the development of the high-tech industry in Pomerania,” said Bartłomiej Zając, President of Radmor.
The cooperation between Radmor and WiRan is expected to result in projects related to the design of satellite platforms and their sensors. It includes the development of software for operating orbital platforms, secure communication between satellites and ground stations, and the creation of national cryptographic systems for satellite telecommunications.
“WiRan is a valuable partner in the field of communication components for satellites. We bring experience in executing space projects from the first to the ninth level of technological readiness. This may lead to new configurations of communication systems in strategic projects of the Polish space sector,” said Maciej Król, President of WiRan.
“Radmor is part of a strong capital group in the defense industry. The WB Group’s Space Technology Center, established in Gdynia, will ensure that the solutions developed in Pomerania meet military requirements. A major national integrator, proven in the military market, contributes to enhancing Poland’s security and enables the development of the country’s defense capabilities in the field of satellite solutions,” added Maciej Król.
Radmor and WiRan will support each other in achieving their jointly defined goals. This will involve the engagement of experienced engineering staff, particularly from the companies’ research and development departments, as well as the utilization of production machinery, equipment, and laboratory facilities for conducting work and research within ongoing projects.
WiRan is a design office specializing in high-reliability electronic devices and systems. The company’s expertise lies in wireless communication devices operating on radio frequencies, particularly LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, and LTE-M. WiRan provides solutions for the space, Industry 4.0, defense, railway, and maritime sectors.
