On Saturday, September 27, 2025, as reported by the Ukrainian news agency Interfax-Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed during a press briefing after returning from the 80th UN General Assembly session in New York that on September 10 a total of 92 Russian drones were flying toward Poland, most of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defense, while the remaining 19 crossed the border.

“Ninety-two drones were flying toward Poland. We shot them all down. Nineteen reached them. Yes, we shot them down over the territory of Ukraine… One could say they were flying toward us. But we see the direction and, as they say, the choreography of this flight. Therefore, we believe that there were 92,” Zelensky said during the briefing on Saturday.
The President noted that 19 drones flew into Polish territory, four of which were shot down.
On September 10, Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported 19 violations of Polish airspace and that four Russian drones had been shot down (Polish military engaged Russian drones over Poland)

On the morning of September 10, the Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on social media that since 5:00 p.m. the previous day, Russian forces had launched 458 combat assets, mainly targeting the northern, western, and central parts of the country, most of which – 413 – were shot down.
The Russians used:
- 415 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Geran/Shahed type (more than 250) and drone imitators of various types (including Gerbera), launched from Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Oryol, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and Chauda – occupied Crimea;
- 42 cruise/air missiles Kh-101/Kalibr/Kh-59(69) from the Saratov region and the waters of the Black Sea;
- 1 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile from the Voronezh region.
The attack was repelled by the air force, air defense missile units, electronic warfare (EW) and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile air defense groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, by 9:00 a.m. on September 10, 413 aerial targets were shot down or forced to crash, including 386 drones and 27 cruise/air missiles. Earlier, 16 missile and 21 drone strikes were recorded in 17 locations.
Initially, it was reported that at least 8 hostile drones had crossed Ukraine’s state border in the direction of the Republic of Poland.
