On the 18th of April, at the Defence Services Asia in Kuala Lumpur an offset agreement between WBE Technologies (representing WB Group), Malaysian Ministry of Defence and DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies (DefTech) was signed. The agreement contains details of cooperation concerning technology transfer.

The contract establishes the base for creation and development of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) systems and development of unmanned aerial vehicle systems based on technology transferred to Malaysian partners.

The agreement is connected with deliveries of FONET internal communications systems for the 257 of  AV8 Gempita (Thunder) 8×8 APCs` ordered by Malaysian land forces. The vehicle is a Malaysian version of Turkish FNSS Pars. The Malaysian land forces will use 12 variants of the Gempita vehicle.

WB Electronics presence in Malaysia has been strong for almost 10 years. The company already delivered RADMOR 35010 personal communication devices for the armed forces. WB Group also has its branch in Kuala Lumpur. WBE Technologies activities involve warranty repairs, spares delivery and ILS systems procurement.
