At the Arms and Security 2021 trade fair in Kyiv, the Research and Production Company Fort of the Ministry of Inferior of Ukraine, based in Vinnytsia, presented two new developments: the 9mm Fort-230 submachine gun and the Fort-20 semi-automatic pistol.
The Fort-230 is a blowback-operated submachine gun chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum, fed from 30-round double-stack box magazines. It features two firing modes: fully automatic and semi-automatic. The magazine release button and the fire selector/safety lever are ambidextrous. The charging handle can also be switched to the opposite side. The telescopic stock is adjustable in three positions.
A Picatinny rail is mounted on top of the receiver for accessories, as well as under the trigger guard, where a folding foregrip is attached.
