On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the press service of the 5th Lubusz Artillery Regiment named after Crown Artillery General Marcin Kątski, part of the 12th Szczecin Mechanized Division named after Bolesław Krzywousty, announced on social media the delivery of 155 mm AHS Krab self-propelled howitzers. This is the third delivery of this type of equipment to the Polish Armed Forces this year.
Although the number of vehicles was not disclosed, it is likely, according to announcements from Huta Stalowa Wola, that this is another division fire module Regina, consisting of eight 155 mm AHS Krab howitzers, a WDSz command-and-staff vehicle, three WD command vehicles, and two WA ammunition vehicles.
Previously, two Regina DMOs were delivered to the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment named after Lieutenant General Tadeusz Jordan-Rozwadowski in Bolesławiec on September 24 and August 25 of this year.
Due to the fulfillment of an extraordinary order for war-torn Ukraine, which contracted 54 AHS Krab howitzers (deliveries were completed in December 2024), the scheduled deliveries of the remaining 42 guns for the Polish Armed Forces under the contract of December 14, 2016 (from a total of 96 units, plus 2 additional from December 16, 2020, of which 54 were donated to Ukraine), as well as 48 units under the contract of September 5, 2022, were postponed from 2022–2024 to 2025–2027. According to the current schedule, in 2025 HSW was to deliver 34 howitzers to the Polish Armed Forces, in 2026, 32 units, and in 2027 the remaining 24 units (HSW also has a contract for repairs of Krab and Rak systems).
On December 8, 2023, a framework agreement was signed for the delivery of another 152 units, and the first implementation contract for 96 of them in the modernized variant was signed on December 23, 2024, it provides for deliveries in 2027–2029. On April 7 of this year, HSW concluded an agreement with the South Korean company Hanwha Aerospace for the supply of chassis components, including power-packs for the AHS Krab.
It is worth noting that, based on the attached photographs, one can observe a modified camouflage pattern, a new driver’s camera, additional smoke-grenade launchers on the turret roof, and possibly an anti-drone jammer and a new power unit. In addition, the command vehicles are based on the Hydro Light Tracked Chassis (LPG Hydro).
