In the first phase of testing, we focused on the overall assessment of the MSBS Grot S16 semi-automatic rifle, manufactured in late 2023. The weapon was subjected to intensive use in challenging weather conditions. The goal of the test was to fire 500 rounds of ammunition from various manufacturers and document the reliability level. Additionally, we evaluated the craftsmanship of individual components and their susceptibility to corrosion. The rifle was fired continuously for over 7 hours in heavy rain and then set aside for over 48 hours without cleaning. We also tested its susceptibility to overheating, as well as its performance with optoelectronic sights, a sound suppressor, and various types of slings. The entire test was documented in the video below:
The Grot S16 M1 is a modular, semi-automatic weapon chambered for .223 Rem / 5.56 mm x 45 ammunition. The rifle features a new, extended handguard that covers the gas regulator. During testing, we are using the weapon in its factory configuration without changing any of the interchangeable components, such as the trigger module, control levers, or stock. Only factory ammunition from various manufacturers is used for shooting. (Bullpup MSBS GROT now available in stores! MSPO 2024: Seweryn Figurski presents the Grot A3).
