Under a contract signed on May 6, 2022, WB Group is to deliver four Gladius unmanned search-and-strike system modules along with training and logistics packages. To date, the equipment has been delivered to the 1st Masurian Artillery Brigade and the 18th Artillery Brigade. The procurement is costing the State Treasury approximately 2 billion PLN gross. In addition to WB Group, other companies from Poland’s defense industry are also involved in the execution of the contract.

Stationed in northeastern Poland, the 14th Suwałki Anti-Tank Regiment was originally intended to be an operator of the Ottokar-Brzoza anti-tank systems. At present, there is no information on the progress of this program. It cannot be ruled out that delays have led to a change in the Gladius delivery schedule and the allocation of the third fire module to Suwałki.
The battery modules of the Gladius unmanned reconnaissance and strike system are intended for precision engagement of targets at ranges of up to 100 km, as well as for conducting airborne imagery reconnaissance using FT-5 reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles. The system’s effectors will be Gladius strike unmanned aerial vehicles. A battery-level module includes launchers, command vehicles, ammunition and technical support vehicles, as well as a stock of Gladius strike unmanned aerial vehicles.
