“Another 18 Homar-K launcher modules are now in Poland. Before they are delivered to Polish Armed Forces units, they will be integrated with Jelcz chassis at Huta Stalowa Wola. This is yet another delivery completed ahead of schedule,” announced the Minister of National Defense on the X social media platform.
“We greatly appreciate the recognition of the efficient delivery process. We are proud to be working alongside Poland’s leading defense companies to co-develop the Homar-K systems, contributing to the security of Poland and NATO’s eastern flank,” stated in response the manufacturer of the system, Hanwha Aerospace.
This announcement confirms that a total of 90 Homar-K multiple rocket launcher systems have now been delivered to Poland. As Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz mentioned, the modules first go to Huta Stalowa Wola (part of the Polish Armaments Group) for integration with the Jelcz P882.57 TS T45 K-MLRS 8×8 chassis, the Topaz battle management system, the Fonet digital vehicle communication platform, and the Radmor radio communication system from WB Group.
The previous disclosed deliveries took place in 2024: December 17 (6 modules), November 13 (8 modules), October 7 (4 modules), September 11 (12 modules), June 11 (12 modules). Additionally, in 2023: November 2 (1 complete launcher and 4 modules), September 15 (11 modules), August 21 (1 complete launcher). As of December 2, 2024, according to Deputy Minister Paweł Bejda, there were 66 modules in Poland, including 35 complete launchers. This suggests that some deliveries may have taken place without public disclosure.
Recently, Force Protection unmanned systems from WB Group have been ordered for aerial reconnaissance and air cover of the WWR Homar-K battalions’ operational areas, along with CD-10s fuel tanker-distributors from Celtech.
On December 5, 2024, at the Central Air Force Training Range in Ustka, the first live-fire combat missile tests of the Homar-K system were conducted. The launch involved CGR-080 precision-guided rockets, 239 mm caliber, with a range of up to 80 km. Their production is set to be established in Poland under an agreement between WB Group and Hanwha Aerospace, signed on October 2, 2024.
Ultimately, under two contracts, the Polish Armed Forces are set to receive 290 Homar-K launchers.
