Streamlight introduces the TLR-8 HL-X and TLR-8 HL-X sub

The collection of weapon-mounted flashlights now includes the TLR-8 HL-X models with a red laser indicator and the TLR-8 HL-X G models with a green laser indicator, designed for full-size and compact handguns. The flashlights are compatible with selected pistols from Glock, SIG Sauer, Springfield Armory, and many other designs with a Picatinny rail. Both models feature interchangeable switch paddles, allowing for customization to meet individual preferences.

The TLR-8 HL-X and TLR-8 HL-X G models feature a powerful LED and a laser with a wavelength range of 640-660 nm or 510-530 nm. When using the SL-B9 battery, the flashlights can be programmed into two modes with the following characteristics:

• Mode 1 (default): 1,000 lumens, 22,000 candela, maximum range of 297 meters, runtime of 30 minutes.
• Mode 2: 500 lumens, 11,000 candela, maximum range of 210 meters, runtime of up to 1 hour.

With a CR123A lithium battery, the flashlights produce a 500-lumen beam, 11,000 candela, a range of 210 meters, and a runtime of up to 1.5 hours.

The new TLR-8 HL-X sub and TLR-8 HL-X G sub models are designed for subcompact pistols and are available in four configurations:

• For Glock 43X MOS/48 MOS, 43X/48.
• For SIG Sauer P365 and P365 XL.
• For Springfield Armory Hellcat.
• For selected models equipped with a Picatinny rail, including Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0, Beretta Px4 Storm, Springfield Armory XD-E, XDS and Hellcat Pro, Heckler & Koch HK45, and SIG Sauer P365 XMACRO.

The performance of the sub variants depends on the power source:

• SL-B9 battery: 1,000 lumens, 10,000 candela, range of 200 meters, runtime of up to 30 minutes (default mode); 500 lumens, 5,000 candela, range of 141 meters, runtime of 1 hour.
• CR123A battery: 500 lumens, 5,000 candela, range of 141 meters, runtime of up to 1.5 hours.

The flashlights are mounted onto pistols using a one-handed clamping mechanism. They are also equipped with a safe-off feature, which locks the switch to prevent accidental activation.

The TLR-8 HL-X models weigh 89 grams with the SL-B9 battery and 86.1 grams with the CR123A battery, with a length of 73 mm. The TLR-8 HL-X sub models, on the other hand, weigh 81.3 grams with the SL-B9 battery and 78.5 grams with the CR123A battery, with a length of 63 mm. The flashlights are made from durable, impact-resistant 6000-series aerospace aluminum with an anodized finish. Their housings meet IPX4 water-resistance standards.
