November 18, 2025. At MILIPOL Paris, November 18-21, Rohde & Schwarz and MILTON, a leading provider of autonomous airborne systems, announce the expansion of their successful collaboration. This deepened partnership will showcase new, integrated payloads designed to significantly enhance RF spectrum monitoring and intelligence gathering for defense forces. These advancements will be demonstrated at Milipol Paris, with MILTON’s LRO drone featured at the Rohde & Schwarz booth (E-088 in hall 5A).
Building on their existing integration of electromagnetic warfare technologies, Rohde & Schwarz and MILTON are now deploying two powerful new configurations:
- Long-Range Observer (LRO) with the Rohde & Schwarz CEPTOR suite: The MILTON LRO drone – a versatile vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) system ideal for operation in confined areas – features the R&S EM200 signal analyzer coupled with an omni-directional antenna, all controlled by the R&S CEPTOR suite. This configuration provides long-range, comprehensive observation of the RF spectrum, enabling wide-area monitoring and threat detection.
- Precise radio frequency (RF) emission location with the R&S CEPTOR suite: The MILTON Keeper drone will integrate the R&S EM200 signal analyzer with the R&S ADD507 antenna, also controlled by the R&S CEPTOR Suite. This allows for RF spectrum monitoring and, crucially, accurate geolocation of RF emissions – pinpointing the source of signals for targeted intervention.
These integrated payloads empower defense forces with the ability to detect, locate, and analyze electromagnetic signals, identifying everything from clandestine communications to jamming and electromagnetic warfare devices. The combination of MILTON’s agile drone platforms with Rohde & Schwarz’ industry-leading RF expertise delivers a discreet, flexible, and cost-effective solution, reducing reliance on traditional, larger airborne platforms.
At MILTON, we believe that technology should be at the service of operators, simplifying their missions and improving their safety, said Charles Gillibert, Chief Operating Officer, MILTON. Expanding our partnership with Rohde & Schwarz with these new payloads is a direct response to the evolving needs of defense professionals. We are delivering increasingly sophisticated capabilities in a compact and adaptable package.
We are proud to continue our collaboration with MILTON, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in autonomous airborne systems, explains Stéphane Blanc, Managing Director, Rohde & Schwarz France. These new deployments, leveraging the power of our R&S CEPTOR suite, demonstrate our shared commitment to innovation and providing defense forces with the tools they need to proactively address emerging threats. Visitors to Milipol Paris will be able to see firsthand the capabilities of the LRO drone at our booth.
