The demonstration, attended by 20 global Bushmaster users, highlighted the TYPHOON 30c’s exceptional capabilities in counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) operations. The system achieved a highly precise single-shot kill against an approaching aerial target using Northrop Grumman’s High Explosive Proximity (HEP) ammunition, showcasing its effectiveness at varying ranges against moving threats.
Rafael also emphasized the Typhoon 30c’s versatility by integrating it into a 20 ft. mission module configuration equipped with drone detection radar and electro-optical sensors. This reflects Rafael’s commitment to delivering modular, rapidly deployable systems tailored to diverse mission environments.
Combat-proven and continuously evolving, the Typhoon 30c is engineered to defend naval and strategic land-based platforms against aerial threats. Its integration with advanced electro-optics, automatic fire correction, and state-of-the-art sensors ensures precise targeting and engagement. The recent demonstration featured RADA’s MHR RPS-42 radar and CONTROP’s iSea-25 EO payload for enhanced detection and tracking.
Deployed worldwide — including by the U.S., Canada, and Australia — the Typhoon 30c remains a cornerstone in Rafael’s force protection portfolio, part of a wider suite of integrated solutions for today’s dynamic operational needs (Rafael Successfully Demos Typhoon 30’s C-UAS Capabilities).
