Typhoon RCWS with Enhanced C-UAS Capabilities
A cornerstone of Rafael’s naval offerings is the Typhoon Remote Controlled Weapon Station (RCWS). In a comprehensive project led by the Israeli Ministry of Defense from October 2024 to February 2025, the Typhoon RCWS demonstrated its effectiveness in intercepting a variety of aerial threats at multiple ranges. Equipped with advanced automatic target recognition and fire correction features, the Typhoon ensures precise engagement of small, fast-moving targets. Its expanded magazine capacity of up to 400 rounds enables sustained operations, effectively countering the growing concern of drone swarms in modern naval warfare.
C-GEM Active Decoy System
The C-GEM active decoy system, currently operational in the Israeli Navy, represents a significant advancement in electronic warfare. Designed to counter advanced missile threats, C-GEM employs sophisticated electronic techniques to deceive and divert incoming missiles, thereby safeguarding naval assets. Its successful integration into active service underscores its reliability and effectiveness in modern naval defense.
Additional Advanced Systems on Display
In addition to the Typhoon RCWS and C-GEM, Rafael is showcasing a range of advanced systems that enhance naval defense capabilities. These include precision engagement solutions and electronic warfare systems designed to address the complex challenges of the evolving maritime arena.
