As Hanwha Aerospace emphasizes, its presence in Poland is based on cooperation with the local industry and the expansion of its footprint in the country, including through localized production.
The company supplies the Polish Armed Forces with 155 mm K9A1/PL Thunder self-propelled howitzers (150 out of 218 K9A1 units have been delivered, and deliveries of 146 K9PL units are planned under a framework agreement for up to 672 units), as well as K239 Chunmoo multiple rocket launcher modules under the Homar-K program (126 out of 290 ordered units have been delivered).
Notably, on April 15 of this year, a document was signed outlining the key terms of an agreement to establish and operate a joint venture between WB Group and Hanwha Aerospace. The joint venture aims to develop and produce CGR-080 precision-strike 239 mm rockets for the Homar-K system in Poland (the first live-fire tests with this ammunition in Poland took place on December 5, 2024).
