The consultations are also being attended by, among others, ministers responsible for defense, foreign affairs, internal affairs, infrastructure, finance, energy, and culture.
“We have begun work on a new agreement on Polish–German defense cooperation,” announced Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz after his meeting with the head of the German Ministry of Defence, Boris Pistorius.
“During the talks, it was agreed that German forces will participate in the Tarcza Wschód project and in efforts to expand fuel pipelines on NATO’s eastern flank. In addition, German Eurofighters will protect Polish airspace as part of the Air Policing mission. This is a direction that strengthens our security and shows that we are translating joint decisions into concrete action,” said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz after his meeting with Minister Pistorius.
The previous Polish–German consultations took place on 2 July of this year.
