On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the Aviation Technology Division of the 3rd Regional Logistics Base announced the launch of a tender procedure for the supply of a brand-new turbofan engine for a Gulfstream G550 aircraft designated for VIP transport. This marks the second attempt to procure the engine, after the previous tender initiated on September 1, 2024, was canceled on October 8 due to a lack of bids.

The contract covers the delivery of one (1) brand-new BR700-710C4-11 aircraft engine, manufactured in 2024 or 2025, for use with Gulfstream G550 aircraft.
The deadline for submitting bids is August 28, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. The sole selection criterion will be price (100%). The contracting authority expects the delivery to be completed no later than November 30, 2025.
The subject of the contract has been defined by specifying the manufacturer and engine type, with no allowance for equivalent products, due to the following reasons:
- The technical documentation for the G550 aircraft does not permit the installation of any engine other than the one specified in the tender;
- The G550 aircraft is equipped with two independent engines, both of which must meet identical technical specifications (the purchased engine is intended as a spare for this specific aircraft);
- Installing an unauthorized engine not approved by the manufacturer in a G550 government aircraft could pose a risk to the life or health of the nation’s most important individuals (VIPs).

They arrived in Poland on June 21 (named Prince Józef Poniatowski) and July 29 (General Kazimierz Pułaski). The first operational flight, to Paris, was carried out by Pułaski on November 20.
As previously mentioned, the fleet is complemented by three medium-sized B737-800 aircraft: one B737-86X(WL) with tail number 0110, named Józef Piłsudski, and two B737-800NG in the BBJ2-27K (Boeing Business Jet 2) configuration, equipped with HEAD section salons: tail number 0111, named Roman Dmowski, and 0112, named Ignacy Jan Paderewski.
