“ORLEN is of strategic importance not only to Poland, but to the entire region. Our goal is to ensure stable energy supplies. In order to do so, the physical and digital security of our assets is essential. This is particularly important in today’s environment,” emphasized ORLEN CEO Ireneusz Fąfara during the signing of the agreement.
“The WB Group, just like ORLEN, is a Polish entity of strategic importance. Cooperation between a company responsible for Poland’s energy security and a proven supplier of advanced defense solutions, also enhancing the resilience of key critical infrastructure facilities, appears entirely natural,” said Piotr Wojciechowski, CEO of the WB Group.
“Cooperation between two Polish companies enables the implementation of modern technological solutions that increase the resilience of critical infrastructure. This is an example of effective integration of competencies in the fields of security and technology, and at the same time an important step in building the strength of Polish industry,” stated Ireneusz Fąfara.
“The WB Group is a leader in unmanned systems, secure communications, and systems integration, whose solutions can be utilized by companies such as ORLEN,” added Piotr Wojciechowski.
The aim of the agreement is long-term cooperation to improve the security of ORLEN’s assets, as well as to build and develop competencies in the protection of critical infrastructure. The partnership includes activities in prevention, education, information sharing, expert analysis, and other initiatives aimed at increasing the level of security of ORLEN Group facilities.
The joint efforts are intended to counter criminal activities, including terrorist acts, diversion, and sabotage. The signed agreement represents another step toward building modern standards for the protection of key assets and strengthening the potential of Polish companies in the fields of security and innovation.
