On Saturday, the National Security Bureau (BBN) announced that the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, by decisions dated 8 November 2025, appointed eleven officers of the Polish Armed Forces, one Police officer, one Border Guard officer, and one State Fire Service officer to the rank of general.

Pursuant to Article 134(5) of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, and at the request of the Minister of National Defence, the following appointments have been made within the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland:
To the rank of Major General of the Polish Armed Forces:
- Brigadier General Krzysztof Knut – Commander of the 8th Home Army Infantry Division;
- Brigadier General Artur Kuptel – Head of the Armament Agency;
- Brigadier General Michał Przemysław Sprengel – Advisor-Coordinator at the Office of the Minister of National Defence;
- Brigadier General Krzysztof Zdzisław Stańczyk – Commander of the Territorial Defence Forces;
- Brigadier General Grzegorz Stanisław Ślusarz – Commander of the Air Operations Center – Air Component Commander.
To the rank of Vice Admiral of the Polish Armed Forces:
- Rear Admiral Piotr Nieć – Deputy Operational Commander of the Armed Forces.
To the rank of Brigadier General of the Polish Armed Forces:
- Colonel Mieczysław Gurgielewicz – Commander of the 1st Podlasie Territorial Defence Brigade;
- Colonel Mariusz Sebastian Ochalski – Deputy Chief of the Military Engineering Directorate, General Command of the Armed Forces;
- Colonel Jarosław Rybak – Chief of the Material Planning Directorate – P8;
- Colonel Marcin Przemysław Siudziński – Deputy Commander of the Territorial Defence Forces;
- Colonel Krzysztof Paweł Zwoliński – Chief of the Army Helicopter Aviation Directorate – Deputy Inspector of the Air Force, General Command of the Armed Forces.
Pursuant to Article 48(3) of the Police Act, and at the request of the Minister of the Interior and Administration, the following officer has been appointed to the rank of Superintendent of Police:
- Inspector Artur Bednarek – Provincial Police Commander in Kraków.
Pursuant to Article 53 of the Border Guard Act, and at the request of the Minister of the Interior and Administration, the following officer has been appointed to the rank of Brigadier General of the Border Guard:
- Colonel (BG) Daniel Wojtaszkiewicz – Commander of the Warmia–Mazury Border Guard Unit.
Pursuant to Article 51(5) of the State Fire Service Act, and at the request of the Minister of the Interior and Administration, the following officer has been appointed to the rank of Brigadier General of the State Fire Service:
- Senior Brigadier Jacek Niewęgłowski – Pomeranian Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service.
The nomination acts will be presented by the President of the Republic of Poland on 11 November 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Marshal Józef Piłsudski Square in Warsaw, during the celebrations of National Independence Day.
