The contract concluded between the State Treasury – Armament Agency and Fabryka Broni “Łucznik”-Radom concerns the delivery of 5.56 mm MSBS Grot rifles. The order, which has been launched, is worth 307 million PLN and covers approximately 23,000 rifle sets for the Armed Forces. The execution of the order is planned for 2027–2028.

As of today, under previously signed contracts, around 230,000 sets of rifles have been ordered, of which approximately 160,000 have already been delivered to the Polish Armed Forces. With today’s order, the total number of MSBS Grot rifles procured and being procured will exceed 250,000 sets.
Today’s contract will cover the delivery of MSBS Grot rifles in the latest available configuration, which includes design changes resulting from operational experience to date. These modifications are intended to improve the weapon’s ergonomics and functionality, including adjustments to the length and design of the stock, as well as the barrel length and other elements that determine both functionality and technical parameters.
The 5.56 mm MSBS Grot assault rifle was developed in cooperation between Fabryka Broni “Łucznik”-Radom and the Military University of Technology, as part of the Modular Small Arms System (MSBS) project. Its modular design allows for quick adaptation to the user’s needs, with the rifle available in multiple configurations and variants, both in the classic and bullpup layouts. The first MSBS Grot rifles entered service with the Polish Armed Forces in 2017.
The rifles currently being delivered to the Polish Armed Forces represent the next stage of development, refined by Fabryka Broni “Łucznik”-Radom, to eliminate shortcomings identified by users and to further optimize the weapon’s functionality.
