On Monday, August 25, 2025, a meeting took place in Warsaw between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Kamal Ghaffarian, President of Axiom Space.

“The security of our countries and economic development—these were the topics I discussed today with Kamal Ghaffarian, President of Axiom Space. I am very pleased that we both view Poland as a safe and strategic place for key investments. We also talked about the International Space Station that Axiom Space will be building. I hope for the participation of Polish companies in the implementation of this program,” said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz after his talks with the President of Axiom Space.
“Our conversation also concerned the development of nuclear energy, in particular fourth-generation SMRs. It is not only about energy production itself but also about energy independence, which is a tremendous challenge for every country. Without energy independence, there is no sovereignty and independence—and this must be taken very literally. Energy independence makes it possible to use artificial intelligence, to build the largest databases. And this is precisely the strongest currency of the modern world,” said the Minister of National Defence after the talks.
As the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized, Poland is a safe environment for American investments in the space, energy, and AI sectors.
“We are very open to cooperation with all initiatives. The transatlantic relationship between Poland and the United States, between our companies and American companies, is a guarantee of security. Poland is a safe zone for investment. We are not planning to send Polish troops to Ukraine, and we are not sending them there. Poland is a good place for American investments because it is a very pro-American country. The 1990 free trade agreement was one of the first agreements that introduced Poland into the Western world, restoring our presence on the international stage. We want to build on this. We want to be a transatlantic partner. Poland is a transatlantic partner that connects the United States and the European Union. Poland is the best bridge, because we share a great friendship, history, the presence of U.S. troops, and we are a safe zone for American investments,” emphasized the Minister of National Defence.
