ForSec – named after a combination of the words Forensics and Security – is a professional digital forensics and data recovery laboratory, one of the largest in Poland; its audit division is made up of a versatile team of specialists capable of meeting almost any challenge, as well as a training center offering a unique program of educational pathways in IT security and digital forensics.
During the Paris trade fair dedicated to law enforcement and internal security agencies, the Katowice-based company will present, at the Forensic Area booth – H4 G051, solutions from the American manufacturer Logicube Inc., headquartered in Chatsworth, California, a leader in digital forensics hardware and advanced data acquisition. Its portfolio includes key solutions supporting security services, public institutions, and investigative teams around the world.
The company’s booth will feature, among others:
- Falcon-NEO2 – a next-generation hard drive duplicator. The device offers exceptionally high throughput, broad compatibility with various media, and advanced analysis and verification functions, supporting efficient laboratory and field operations.
- WriteProtect blockers – reliable solutions for safeguarding the integrity of digital evidence. They prevent any modification of acquired data, enabling safe viewing and copying in accordance with forensic procedures.
Logicube Inc. has been providing tools for years that enhance operational effectiveness and raise standards in cybersecurity and data analysis.
Since 1999, Logicube Inc. has been the global leader in hard drive duplication hardware and digital forensic imaging. IT departments worldwide – in the corporate, military, government, medical, and educational sectors – use Logicube duplicators for all disk-cloning tasks, including backups, PC deployments, application rollouts, and secure hard drive wiping. Its digital forensic imaging solutions, including the flagship Falcon-NEO2, meet the high demands of forensic imaging specialists in government, law enforcement, the military, and private consulting firms worldwide.
Falcon-NEO2 is the breakthrough successor to the Falcon-NEO, long regarded as the best-in-class among all imaging devices. With Project VIC validation and a Triage function, source files are classified against VICS, CSV, and X-Ways Hash databases. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is supported via YubiKey 5 FIPS authenticators. The built-in file viewer now includes a thumbnail mode for easier browsing. Redesigned and optimized with a new, high-performance engine, Falcon-NEO2 is the first field-ready imaging system to exceed a 100 GB/min capture rate with E01. Its SAS-3 (12 Gb/s SAS) architecture supports up to 5 simultaneous tasks with up to 10 source ports and 11 destination ports. It images SAS-3 SSDs at speeds up to 115 GB/min and PCIe drives at over 100 GB/min. USB ports on the Falcon-NEO2 are USB 3.2 Gen-2 (10 Gb/s), and two 10 GbE ports remain available for imaging to/from network repositories. “Cloud Storage Acquisition” and “Mobile Device Capture” are standard features in the Falcon-NEO2, along with full physical and logical support for AFF4.
The WriteProtect-USB blocker provides secure access to USB drives with write-blocking and read-only modes in one compact, easy-to-transport device. Its exceptionally high performance is ensured by a USB 3.0 host interface, making it easier to handle high-capacity drives.
The WriteProtect-Portable blocker supports PCIe, SATA, and USB 3.0 interfaces and features a high-speed Superspeed USB 3.0 host connection.
WriteProtect-DESKTOP is the only portable write-blocker that supports six hard drive interfaces in a single device, handling SAS, SATA, FireWire, PCIe, USB 3, and IDE source drives. The device allows multiple source drives to be connected and imaged simultaneously using forensic imaging software.
WriteProtect-BAY supports six hard drive interfaces in a single device. It handles SAS, SATA, FireWire, USB 3.0, PCIe, and IDE drives and uses an ultra-fast Superspeed USB 3.0 host connection. The device is designed to fit into a half-height 5.25″ drive bay of a forensic workstation.
Talon Ultimate is a high-performance, portable, networked, multi-user, and cost-effective forensic scanner that enables multiple operations to be performed simultaneously. It offers optional multi-language support and is based on Logicube Inc.’s standard user interface.
