The contract is to be carried out over five years. It covers two groups of Elbit Systems’ advanced technology solutions. These solutions are based on the company’s latest technologies and portfolio, including, among others, embedded machine learning (artificial intelligence) capabilities.
The first group includes long-range precision rocket artillery systems and a wide range of uncrewed aerial reconnaissance and combat systems, from operational to tactical, including small personal drones.
The second group includes, among other things, highly advanced ISTAR-class systems (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance), including SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) electronic reconnaissance systems, imagery intelligence systems, COMINT (Communications Intelligence) systems, and electronic warfare (EW) systems.
Additionally, systems for collecting and processing intelligence data, as well as advanced electro-optical (E/O) and night vision systems, upgrade packages for combat vehicles, and protective systems are also to be delivered.
In addition, Elbit Systems will provide a comprehensive solution for military digitization and a Network Combat Solution, based on next-generation software and state-of-the-art communications hardware. This will include intelligence solutions from the C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) command-and-control application suite. The integrated solution will cover all operational levels, from the army’s strategic command to the tactical level, and down to the individual combat vehicle.
Elbit Systems was awarded a $1.635Bn contract to deliver a range of defense solutions to a European country over a five-year period.
